Microimmunotherapy in Andorra - Dr. Aldosa Medical Centre
What is microimmunotherapy
Microimmunotherapy is a type of immunotherapy aimed at regulating the immune system through the use of immunomodulatory substances —mainly cytokines, hormones and growth factors— administered at low or ultra-low doses. These concentrations are equal to or lower than those found naturally in the body, allowing a gentle and physiological modulation of the immune system, without the side effects associated with classical immunotherapy.
At the Dr. Aldosa Medical Centre in Andorra we apply microimmunotherapy as part of an integrative approach that also includes PNI (Psychoneuroimmunoendocrinology), ozone therapy and acupuncture, designed to support immune health in a global manner.
How microimmunotherapy works
Microimmunotherapy works by “speaking the same language” as the immune system, with homeopathic doses of the same molecules that the body naturally produces.
The treatment is administered sublingually: the gel capsules are emptied under the tongue, where the active ingredients are absorbed directly through the mucosa into the lymphatic system. This route avoids the hepatic pass and guarantees the integrity of the active molecules.
When microimmunotherapy is indicated
Microimmunotherapy is a very versatile treatment. It is indicated in a wide variety of pathologies related to a deregulated immune system:
- Chronic and recurrent infections: Epstein-Barr, cytomegalovirus, herpes simplex and zoster, human papilloma, chronic candidiasis.
- Autoimmune diseases: Hashimoto’s thyroiditis, multiple sclerosis, psoriasis, rheumatoid arthritis, lupus.
- Allergies and intolerances: rhinitis, asthma, atopic dermatitis, food allergies.
- Chronic low-grade inflammation associated with metabolic, neurodegenerative or digestive pathologies.
- Support in integrative oncology as a complement to conventional treatments and always in agreement with the oncologist.
- Metabolic and hormonal disorders with an underlying inflammatory component.
Advantages of the treatment
Microimmunotherapy stands out for a series of features that make it especially attractive within integrative medicine:
- Excellent tolerability: suitable for all age groups, from children to the elderly.
- No pharmacological interferences: it can be combined with conventional medication without problems.
- Physiological modulation: it respects the natural rhythms of the immune system instead of stimulating or suppressing it abruptly.
- Sustained results: the changes achieved tend to be maintained over time, especially when combined with lifestyle changes.
- Personalisation: each protocol is adapted to the individual immune profile of the patient, identified through specific analyses.
How the treatment is carried out at the Dr. Aldosa Medical Centre
Treatment begins with a complete medical evaluation that includes anamnesis, physical examination and, if necessary, specific tests to characterise the patient’s immune profile.
Based on this evaluation, Dr. Aldosa selects the most suitable microimmunotherapy preparations. The usual intake is one capsule a day on an empty stomach, for a period that may range between 3 and 12 months depending on the pathology. Follow-up visits are made every 2-3 months to adjust the treatment and evaluate the results.
Microimmunotherapy and integrative medicine
Microimmunotherapy is not an isolated treatment: it is part of an integrative approach to health that combines the tools of conventional medicine with those of natural medicine and PNI. In our centre, we often combine it with nutritional modifications, specific orthomolecular supplementation, stress management, sleep work and, when appropriate, with complementary therapies such as ozone therapy or acupuncture.
This holistic approach allows chronic diseases to be addressed from their immuno-inflammatory root, instead of simply treating the symptoms.
