This is a minimally invasive treatment technique developed in Nice by Dr Bernard Guez and based on mesotherapy. Mesotherapy is characterised by the administration of micro-injections of small amounts of active ingredients, repeatedly and in projection over the area to be treated. As its creator, Dr Michel Pistor, defined it, “little, seldom and locally”.

Hydrotomy respects these principles, since the doses of active ingredients are minimal, but with the addition that they are diluted in much larger amounts of liquid (saline solution) and, thanks to this, the so-called hydrotomy cushion is formed, from which the skin carries out distribution deep into the appropriate locations.

We could therefore speak of mesotherapy with large dilutions.

Joint Regeneration in Andorra - Aldosa Method of Hydro-Regeneration

Intra-articular infiltrations performed in allopathic medicine, a mixture of anaesthetics and anti-inflammatories, have as their main objective the sedation of pain and recovering mobility as much as possible.

In mesotherapy treatment, the infiltrations are only subcutaneous and we use only natural products, so we have practically no contraindications. And its purpose is not a treatment for pain but rather for the cause that provokes it, seeking the regeneration of diseased tissues.

It should also be considered that these are not mutually exclusive treatments; it will always depend on the moment and the patient's needs.

This therapy is known for its great effectiveness in treating chronic and degenerative pain. It is especially recommended for:

  • Back problems: Disc herniations, lower back pain, sciatica and narrow lumbar canal.

  • Joint pain: Osteoarthritis (knee, hip, shoulder) and arthritis.

  • Other pains: Migraines, tinnitus, neuralgia and carpal tunnel syndrome.

  • General well-being: Stress, anxiety and states of exhaustion.

  1. Deep hydration of the intervertebral discs and joints.

  2. Micro-nutrition cellular delivery directly to the affected area.

  3. Detoxification and washing of the toxins that cause inflammation.

No, it is generally a painless treatment. Most patients only feel a slight discomfort similar to a mosquito bite at the moment of injection. To ensure maximum comfort, a diluted local anaesthetic is often used, making the session very tolerable.

It is a very safe and well-tolerated therapy, as it uses natural and biocompatible products (such as saline solution and vitamins). Side effects are minimal and local, such as a small bruise or redness in the injection area that disappears quickly.

Combination with other treatments at Dr. Aldosa Medical Center

The Aldosa Method of Hydro-Regeneration integrates perfectly into a global approach. We often complement it with other treatments to optimise joint and tendon recovery:
